of passage granted to Assistant

Analysts in the service of the Hong

Kong Government when proceeding to or

FURTHER ACTION.

from leave, and to inform you that he

has now received a despatch from the

Governor of Hong Kong on this subject.

The Governor has not felt able

to recommend that the existing regulations

should be altered, but I am to say that

the whole question of the conditions

under which officers of the Colonial

Service generally should be granted

leave to this country is at present

under
